| Third Thailand’s National Health Assembly (NHA) will be held in Bangkok during
15-17 December 2010 under the Theme "Collective Actions to Overcome Inequity for the Better Society’'. The 52 issues from 36 agencies/networks were considered by the National Health Assembly Organizing Committee (NHAOC), finally 10 issues have been approved to be included in the agenda items of NHA2009 as follows: 1) Overcoming inequity 2) International code of marketing for infant and child 3) Equity in access to health care for people with physical disabilities 4) Problem solving in teenage prenancy 5) Measures for non-asbestos society 6) Measures for the control of tobacco as a determinant of health 7) Policy on self governing area 8) Problem solving on health related advertisement on cable TV, satellite TV, community radio and internet 9) Policy on the medical hub 10) Report on the progress of the implementation of previous National Health Assembly's resolutions The NHAOC also provides the opportunity for networks interested in organizing academic meetings as part of the 2010 national health assembly, by arranging meeting rooms for presentation and discussion of individual topics, each topic to last about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Such academic meetings will be held during the lunch break and in the evening, during which no sessions devoted to approval of recommendations and resolutions, and no meetings to discuss the items in the agendas are held. Besides, NHA exhibition on the first floor will display best cases on translating NHA's resolutions in actions. Performances, concerts, talk shows and etc will be on the stage to reflect views of Thais on the current issues in Thailand. |
